I have a lot of love for Road America already, but that was easily one of the best events I’ve been to there. Still going through all my photos, but I managed a few winners that I’ll have to play with when I’m not stuck using Google’s editor. Apparently I got a lovely smudge/scratch/something on my polarizer that I didn’t see until after I took a thousand photos.

I wish I could have made it. Although I did get to see a bunch of transporters making their way south yesterday morning, including the K-PAX pair.

It was a ton of fun, and thankfully they announced it’s coming back for another two years. With PC running on the weekend as well, there was never a lull, which made for a ton of fun. Even the racing on Friday was great.
The new paths on the track and the new gift shop is really nice too.

I’m still trying to recover. My Fitbit said I was doing 20+ flights of stairs everyday, which isn’t exactly normal for me. And I spent a lot of my time with friends with a golf cart, so I can’t even imagine doing the weekend totally by foot. The worst was parking on Sunday. Traffic made it impossible to get to Gate 3 or 4, so I did Main Gate, and was then forced to park way out on the outside of Turn 14. At least I called my friends and got picked up for a ride to Turn 1.

Yeah, Sunday was a little crazy. We got there at 6:30 through the tunnel to set up in turn 5, and there were already 6 other tents there.
I’m still recovering. There was SO MUCH to see/do/photo. My flight got in late last night too, so I’m a zombie at work this morning... and missing the nice weather.

Indeed you are! I live about 15 minutes from the track, and this would have been amazing weather for Sunday, but oh well.
